Great thoughts. The “vibe” should be distinct and unique to the heart of the worshipping body. No church should be happy with a cookie cutter worship culture. I think it’s important to consider the vibe you’re going for. If it’s a natural feel and flow to the church’s pastoral leadership and body, then.. perfect. The problem occurs when the vibe is clearly synthetic. For example: a pastor wearing something that obviously doesn’t fit their personality, age, background, etc… I’ve observed a lot of pastors over the years and have thought to myself “You’re tryin’ too hard, dude”.
